Before you begin the application process there are several factors that will help you to determine if GateWay Boarding Academy [GBA] will be right for your young man:
- Enrollment for the A.S.S.I.S.T. [after-school, structured, instructional support time] READ 180/MATH 180 program is open for 12 through 18 year olds.
- GBA will only accept applications, starting in late 2020s for the residential program, for 14 and 15 year olds.
- The school year will be 12 months long; [vacation time is interspersed]. Summer experiences may also include pre-apprentice training and camping.
- The average length of stay prior to graduation will vary; it will depend upon the grade level at which the student is functioning, the amount of remediation he requires, and the rate at which he completes the requirements for graduation.
- Parental and/or guardian involvement is encouraged and are valuable assets for students to successfully complete the program.
