GBA uses individualized learning plans, clearly understanding that “one size does not fit all.”
Our academic program and student activities help build and reinforce self-esteem, promote service to others, and give room for healthy competition. GBA teachers have a passion for the subjects they teach, a strong command of the materials, and provide the creativity and nurturing that excites the students about learning. Three strategies—productive group work, teaching to multiple learning styles and providing examples—are consistently employed.
Clear rules for the programs are established, posted and consistently applied as hallmarks of the GBA program. Our teachers—firm but fair—share life skill behaviors students are expected to develop. They provide numerous opportunities for each young man to shine, while never proceeding with instruction until the building block material is mastered. At GBA, we have proven that students become fully functioning, productive members of their families, communities and society, when given a protected, nurtured and instructive environment in which to learn and grow.
