Christopher Brown, PhD

Home Christopher Brown, PhD

Dr. Christopher Brown was born in Texas, but spent his formative years in Fairfax County, Virginia where he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. At a young age the tenet of service was instilled in him, and he spent his youth performing community service activities and tutoring. While attending Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Dr. Brown worked with a group of like-minded individuals to establish a chapter of Progressive Black Men, Inc. – a collegiate service organization focused on eradicating the negative stereotypes placed on people of African descent. He continues to be invested in helping African American males establish a foundation and grow in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Dr. Brown earned a B.S Magna Cum Laude in Physics and a B.S. Magna Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. In addition, he earned a M.S. in Optics, a M.S. in Physics, and finally a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Central Florida. He currently works as a lead scientist for the United States Government where he has been recognized as BEYA Modern-Day Technology Leader. In addition to his daily duties, he serves as an active member of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization Systems Concepts and Integration task group. He also serves as the Chief Financial Officer for TimePiece LLC, TimePiece Enterprises, and as a volunteer in his church and community organizations.
