Joycelyn L. Collins

Home Joycelyn L. Collins

Joycelyn Collins serves as Secretary of the GateWay Boarding Academy Foundation. Ms. Collins has over 30 years of experience in the communications field, with a focus on writing and editing. Since 2008, she has worked as a program analyst performing policy analysis, program implementation, and documentation functions for a federal agency.

Ms. Collins previously spent 13 years at CSC, the last 5 as a Communications Manager. She directed the daily operations of the Communications Group in developing, maintaining, and disseminating program documentation and public awareness materials.

Ms. Collins earned a BA degree from the University of Virginia, completing requirements in both Communications and African-American Studies with an English minor. She received a full fellowship to Cornell University, where she earned a Master of Professional Studies degree in African and African-American Studies.

The fourth of twelve siblings and mother of seven children, Ms. Collins recognizes the value of love, faith, family, and education. She strives to lead by example, encouraging others to be and do their best in every area of life.
