WHY WE CARE

Home WHY WE CARE

Education is a right, not just a privilege, for all students.

WE KNOW THE FACTS

Too many male minority students attend schools that frequently use suspension and expulsion to punish.  When this happens, comparatively more drop out.

As is common, youth pursue recognition, but if positive recognition is missing, it is often sought in a negative way.  Structure is also important for youth.  However, when there is no structure, many succumb to pressure from those around them, which too often leads to failure.

WE VALUE EDUCATION

We believe education is not just a privilege.  It’s a right for all students.  Children from families of lesser means have an equal opportunity to participate in GBA programs. They all deserve ‘a chance’ to succeed.  Whether stuck in a cycle of failure or just beginning on a path toward trouble, we can help your child climb the ladder of success.
